Nuremberg International Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse) held annually since 1949, is the largest international trade fair for toys and games. Only trade visitors associated with the toy business, journalists and invited guests are admitted. Each year during the course of the event which is held for six days, about 2,800 exhibitors from about 60 countries present their products.

The fair is organized by Spielwarenmesse eG, a marketing and trade fair service provider, based in Nuremberg.

The city’s tourism board sells the NÜRNBERG CARD + FÜRTH which allows for free use of public transportation and free entry to all museums and attractions in Nuremberg for a two-day period.

Every year, about one million products are displayed on the fair, including approximately 70,000 new products. On the fair, they are presented in twelve different product groups.

Beyond its main attractions of the Nuremberg Castle, St. Lorenz Church (map), and *Nazi Trial grounds, there are 54 different museums for arts and culture, history, science and technology. Gothic churches, splendid patricians’ houses and romantic corners and spots. An atmosphere of lively co-existence between medieval and modern, between the past and the present, prevails in Nuremberg.
